Information Collection and Use Practices
- Posting an Ad
- Beginning May 24, 2010 no new profiles will be added.
- When posting an ad, in addition to registration information, we asked for your gender, ethnicity, education, and other demographic information. Your zip code was required because it allowed us to display your location (city and state) in your ad.
- All of the information that you indicated is displayed in your personal ad. This information includes, but is not limited to your city and state, your Yahoo! ID or alias, your age, religion, and other personal information.
- To protect our younger users, we don't allow users who have told us they are under the age of 18 to post a Yahoo! Personals ad.
- Responding to an Ad
- When replying to a personal ad, the recipient will be sent a message that includes your Yahoo! ID or alias that you indicate and your email address if you entered it into the optional email field.
- The message that he or she receives from you will also include a "reply" link so he or she can send a message back to your private Yahoo! Personals Mailbox.
Information Sharing and Disclosure Practices- By using Yahoo! Personals and its various features, you may choose to make some of your personal information public or you may choose to share some of your personal information with others.
- If you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties in return.
- If you submitted a testimonial, we may publish or share this information with your consent.
Practices Regarding Your Ability to Update or Delete Information- To edit or delete your Yahoo! Personals ad, go to the Delete Your Profile Page and follow the instructions.
